When you’re dealing with a debt collector, you generally can send a dispute letter to resolve an issue with them.
The best way to mail this letter is through certified mail, which is about .00 per letter.
In that letter, you should identify yourself by providing your date of birth, your name, and the last 4 digits of your social security.
You should also identify the issue with your credit report and, if possible, provide any evidence that proves there’s an issue.
